- Overview
History
This research center started working on May 13, 2013. The research priority of this research center is hereditary metabolic diseases and also other metabolic diseases of the liver, which are studied in the areas of prevalence, treatment, incidence, underlying causes, and diagnosis.
Aims
-Development of basic epidemiological and clinical researches with the aim of promoting the treatment, follow-up, and prevention of metabolic diseases of the liver and other metabolic disorders
- Launching and establishing metabolic disease registry programs and cooperation with similar national and international centers
-Using the information of registry programs for conducting interventional and prospective studies in the field of metabolic liver diseases
-Training researchers in line with the goals of the research center and encouraging them to design and implement effective research
- Cooperation with national and international scientific centers in order to develop related researches
Vision
Using committed and specialized researchers, training efficient researchers, and interdisciplinary collaborations, this research center intends to be one of the most active research centers in the field of metabolic diseases in the country to provide basic and applied research at different levels of disease prevention and practical and useful solutions.
Mission
Metabolic liver disease research center intends to conduct comprehensive research in the field of epidemiology, disease management, and prevention to create an appropriate information platform, preferably through disease registry programs and prioritizing research objectives along with improving the quality of basic and applied research. Also, conducting research in the fields of basic sciences by identifying risk factors related to diseases, provides an effective step in improving treatment and prevention of these diseases.
